WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Valley College has named Lindsey Morrow its new director of Presidential Initiatives following an internal search, the college announced Monday.

Morrow began the position Aug. 24 and will work in the President’s Office, providing executive and administrative support to the college president and board of trustees. She also will coordinate presidential, institutional and community initiatives involving students, employees, educational partners, lawmakers, industry leaders and community organizations.

Morrow previously worked in WVC’s Workforce Education department, where her responsibilities included connecting college programs with regional workforce needs, industry partners and student opportunities. She previously served as an administrative assistant at the college.

“I am absolutely honored to serve WVC in this important new role. WVC has been pivotal in my own growth, initially as a first-generation student and now as a member of the professional team. I am passionate about ensuring that we continue to make a difference in our students’ lives and help change the trajectory not only of their futures, but of future generations as well,” Morrow said. “I look forward to supporting initiatives that strengthen connections across the college and community, advance our strategic priorities, and help WVC continue building stronger, more inclusive communities.”

Her previous work has included program alignment, outreach, strategic planning and collaboration with organizations and other partners. She also has leadership, relationship management and customer service experience from the hospitality industry.

Morrow earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Administrative Management from Central Washington University and an associate degree in Business Computer Technology from Wenatchee Valley College. She also recently completed the Washington community and technical college system’s Middle Leadership Academy.

WVC President Faimous Harrison said Morrow’s experience in workforce education, her background as a WVC graduate and her community involvement prepared her for the position.

“I am thrilled to welcome Ms. Lindsey Morrow to our leadership team,” President Faimous Harrison shared. “Lindsey is uniquely qualified to advance the work of WVC’s mission as the director of presidential initiatives through her experience in workforce education, as a WVC alumna, and as an engaged member of our community here in North Central Washington. Her leadership skills have helped students launch new careers that meet our region’s workforce needs through increased outreach efforts and strategic community partnerships. Please join me in welcoming Lindsey to this new role!”
