Top six companies to compete for $300,000+ at 2023 Flywheel Investment Conference

WENATCHEE- The Flywheel Angel Network has selected six companies who will compete live for over $300,000 in awards at the 2023 Flywheel Investment Conference on April 19-21 in Wenatchee.

The goal of the annual Flywheel Conference is to bring entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals together to cultivate momentum for growing companies across Washington State. Angel investors, institutional investors, startup advisors, ecosystem partners, startups, and professionals from across the Pacific Northwest travel to Wenatchee to attend the annual event.

The Flywheel conference is organized by non-profit NCW Tech Alliance and is hosted in partnership with the Flywheel Angel Network who fund the investment offerings. The Flywheel Angel Network is a group of investors who support long-term economic development throughout North Central Washington. The FLYWHEEL CONFERENCE 2023 FUND LLC is managing the investment awards and is being led by Glenn and Cheryl Adams.

This year’s competition will see over $250,000 in investment awards. The investment awards combined with the relocation offer of $50,000 and a $5,000 fan favorite award puts over $300,000 on the table for Washington State companies.

Over the course of six weeks, the Flywheel Conference received over 82 applications from startup companies across Washington State, the highest number of applications in Flywheel Conference history. The six finalists include:

Alphi, Seattle

Citizen Mint, Bellevue

GemaTEG, Bellevue

GemaTEG develops innovative thermal management solutions for high-performance microprocessors (CPUs and GPUs) in datacenters. The company was founded in 2019 in Seattle (the world capital of Cloud), with its R&D center in Italy. DaTEG is the latest product in the company's portfolio of sustainable systems. Specifically designed for HPC and high-demanding applications, DaTEG is an active thermal management system with advanced thermoelectric technology. The system allows close control of microprocessor temperature, resulting in a substantial increase in computing power, reduction in power consumption and noise. The product aligns with GemaTEG’s vision, where sustainability and high-performance meet.

Novuson Surgical, Bothell

Novuson is “Clearing” the way for safer surgeries with the world's first Direct Therapeutic Ultrasound (DTU) surgical instruments for minimally invasive, robotic, and other surgical specialties.  DTU is an alternative energy modality for advanced energy surgical devices that is safer and more precise than current technologies, making surgeries faster and more efficient, without risking the health and safety of the patients or the healthcare workers.

Pure Blue Tech Inc., Anacortes

Pure Blue Tech’s self-cleaning reverse osmosis membranes for industries and cities efficiently treat and reuse water. We are committed to reducing the cost of water treatment and increasing water accessibility. The PB Tech Team is solving the biggest problem in membrane filtration for dairy processing and desalination: membrane fouling, reducing it up to 50%.

SheFly Apparel, Seattle

The public is invited to attend the upcoming Flywheel Conference, presented by Moss Adams, Ogden Murphy Wallace, Confluence Health, and Microsoft on April 19 - 21.

The event kicks off with a FREE LATINA/O/X Founder Journey Workshop in Spanish, followed by the Toast of the Town event to welcome participants to Wenatchee, where they can network with investors and entrepreneurs. Thursday starts with Trailblazer Talks and exhibitor booths, a networking lunch, plus the investment competition. Thursday wraps up with an Awards Party at Pybus and live announcement of winners.
