BELLINGHAM — Peoples Bank has opened applications for its annual Impact Grant program, which awards $25,000 to a nonprofit organization for a specific project or purpose aimed at driving meaningful community change. This year’s program also includes a separate grant of up to $10,000, determined by a public vote, for another nonprofit.
“At Peoples Bank, our commitment to ‘A Higher Level of Service’ goes beyond banking,” said Lisa Hefter, president and chief operating officer. “The Impact Grant program is a reflection of our dedication to supporting the communities we serve. Each year, we are inspired to learn about the ways organizations are working to improve the lives of others.”
Applications will be accepted through Aug. 31, with winners announced in September. Nonprofits of all sizes are eligible to apply, with preference given to organizations located in communities served by Peoples Bank and those benefiting low- to moderate-income neighborhoods.
Application information, program details, and highlights from previous winners are available at www.peoplesbank-wa.com/impact-grant.
Peoples Bank, founded in Bellingham and locally owned for 100 years, operates 23 locations across Washington and has $2.4 billion in assets. The bank recently received a five-star rating from independent bank rating firm BauerFinancial.
