Leavenworth centenarian meets namesake great-great-granddaughter

LEAVENWORTH — A century separates two members of a Leavenworth family who recently met for the first time.

Carol Marie Adamson, 100, welcomed a visit from her 3-month-old great-great-granddaughter and namesake, Carolynn Marie Adamson, on Friday, Oct. 23.

Born Jan. 12, 1926, in Leavenworth, the elder Adamson, whose maiden name is Burgess, grew up in Plain and now resides at Mountain Meadows Senior Living in Leavenworth.

Carolynn, born July 10, 2026, is Adamson's fifth great-great-granddaughter. She traveled from Vancouver, Washington, with her parents and three older sisters for the family visit.

The gathering brought together two generations of the Adamson family separated by more than 100 years.
