CHELAN — The longtime Chelan Valley radio staples KOZI AM, KOZI FM, and KZAL FM are being sold to AudioSphere LLC, a Manson-based company that will assume operations following anticipated approval from the Federal Communications Commission later this summer.

The sale was announced Friday by Chelan Valley Media Group, which has owned and operated the stations since acquiring them from Icicle Broadcasting in July 2021. The group’s current owners plan to retire.

KOZI FM, known for its full-service adult contemporary programming, has served the Chelan Valley for more than 68 years. Signature programming includes the “2nd Cup of Coffee” show, broadcast live Monday through Saturday. The station also airs Seattle Seahawks games and live coverage of high school football and basketball for Brewster and Chelan.

KOZI AM carries a local sports and news/talk format, featuring Fox News and Seattle Mariners broadcasts. KZAL FM, also known as Z-Country 94.7, airs a country music format with regional news, weather, and entertainment content. The three stations collectively provide coverage throughout the Chelan basin, Wenatchee Valley, and surrounding areas.

AudioSphere LLC will begin working with current station management to facilitate a smooth transition ahead of the expected FCC approval later this year.
