Clarification

Dear Editor,

Posted
I want to clarify for the public what I said at the forum. Mrs. Congdon is the one who stated she had a "master's" which she does. I said I had a "graduate degree" in paralegal studies from the University of San Diego. I was able to attend the graduate program (that's what they called it at the time) without a bachelors degree because the law firm I was working at recognized that a paralegal that had just been hired was asking me a lot of questions; so in fact, Judges and attorneys wrote letters of recommendations to the University of San Diego and I was accepted. What my certificate states is that "Jenae M. Pape has this day December 9, 1983 satisfied the requirements for the post-baccalaureate course of study as offered by the Lawyer's Assistant Program with the specialization of Litigation." At no time did I claim I had a BA or Masters. I am very proud of the fact that 2 years after graduating from High School with my tireless work ethic I was able to attend and complete the course bypassing the need for a BA. I worked for the prestigious law firm of Burgess, Kennedy, Fitzer and Strombom specializing in insurance defense. Mrs. Strombom is currently the chief magistrate judge for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and Mr. Burgess is retired. I am sorry Christine if you heard it wrong so I wanted to clarify it for the public. You can read more of my background on my website. It's too bad you didn't use the truth finder regarding how PUD's commissioner's salaries are set. All the best.
