PLAIN — The Plain Valley Nordic Team (PVNT) has launched its annual SKIER run PVNT Ski-a-Thon, a fundraising initiative aimed at supporting youth ski education programs in the upper valley region. The event, which began on September 20, will continue through October 7.

The Ski-a-Thon, organized by local skiers, encourages participants to ski in order to raise funds for the PVNT youth ski education program. This unique approach to fundraising combines athletic endeavor with community support for winter sports education.

PVNT has created a promotional video featuring the young athletes involved in the program. The organization is urging supporters to watch and share the film, which they describe as "adorable," to help spread awareness and garner additional support for the cause.

The concept of the Ski-a-Thon is straightforward: skiers participate in skiing activities to raise money for the youth ski education program. This model allows participants to contribute actively to the future of winter sports in the region.

To facilitate donations, PVNT has set up an online platform. The organization emphasizes that the donation process is easy and that all funds raised go directly towards supporting the youth of the upper valley.

The Plain Valley Nordic Team, known for its commitment to fostering skiing talent in the area, sees the Ski-a-Thon as a crucial component of its annual fundraising efforts. The funds raised are expected to support various aspects of the youth ski education program, including equipment, coaching, and event participation.

As the Ski-a-Thon progresses, organizers continue to encourage community participation and support for this initiative aimed at benefiting local youth through ski education.
