SBA Seattle District seeks nominations for National Small Business Week 2022

Award nominations sought from across Washington and Northern Idaho

SEATTLE – The U.S. Small Business Administration Seattle District Office is now accepting nominations for its 2022 National Small Business Week Awards, including the Washington State Small Business Person of the Year.
 
For more than 50 years, National Small Business Week has celebrated the achievements of America’s small businesses and the contributions they make to their local communities, and to the nation’s economy. National Small Business Week will be May 1-7, 2022.
 
The SBA Seattle District Office is accepting nominations for the following awards:
 
·         Washington State Small Business Person of the Year
State winner is finalist for National Small Business Person of the Year
·         Exporter of the Year
·         8(a) Graduate of the Year
The SBA 8(a) Business Development Program is a nine-year federal government contracting certification and program for small business
·         Rural Small Business of the Year
·         Young Entrepreneur of the Year
 
"The SBA National Small Business Week Awards program is an opportunity for us to shine a light on our district's inspiring small business owners and entrepreneurs. Now more than ever, their stories of resilience are noteworthy of praise and recognition," SBA Seattle District Director Kerrie Hurd said. "As we look toward 2022, the innovation and job creation that small businesses provide will be the driving force to move our economy forward."

All nominations must be received by the SBA Seattle District Office by electronic submission only to the District’s BOX account by 12 p.m. PT on Jan. 11, 2022.
