Housing Action Plan Webinar July 8

OLYMPIA - Commerce Growth Management Services (GMS) is partnering with the Municipal Research and Services Center to present a free webinar on developing a housing action plan on July 8 from 1:30 to 3 pm.  Register here.  

GMS also plans to post guidance on the housing planning web page by the end of June 2020.  

The guidance and webinar will cover how to review housing policies, development regulations and housing programs to assess what is working and what could be improved.  It will discuss how to design an effective process for engaging residents and stakeholders. Attendees will learn how to identify strategies to encourage the construction of diverse and more affordable forms of housing, such as revising zoning standards, process improvements, affordability incentives, and funding options and how to evaluate displacement risk and strategies to minimize these risks.
